Building and repairing fishing rods began for me almost 30 years ago out of necessity, if you want to call it that.
I was a teenager who loved to fish who moved with my parents to Long Island New York. I was in need of a surf rod for striper fishing and found one in an outbuilding next to our home. The tip was broken and knew I could fix it. That was the first of countless rods that I have either built, fixed, or restored.
My enjoyment of woodworking led me to another endeavor of designing and building functional fishing rod racks and cabinets that are worthy of a mountain home, a cabin on a river, or a mansion on a hill (or by a lake...).
